Mount of Olives

Mount of Olives is such a breath"stopping" place!! I was speechless to see the surrounding scenery! We walked from the Jaffa Gate all the way to the top of Mount of Olives where Jesus is said to have raised from the very spot. The hill was steep, downhill and uphill!!

Join with us by browsing through these beautiful pictures!

Mount of Olives (East side)
In this picture, you see scores of burial plots. It's a Jewish Cemetery.

Absalom's Pillar (adjacent area)

Absalom's Pillar

Wall of the Old City of Jerusalem (northeast side)
Now, this picture is interesting! We were down by Absalom's Pillar looking up toward the wall. You can't see the city at all! It was mind-blowing!

The Tomb of the Prophets - Haggai and Malachi (and many other tombs for the prophets (major/minor)

The Ascension of Jesus where it was said He ascended into Heaven from that spot

Here's how far we walked to and from! Still walking toward the place of the Last Supper and the tomb of King David

More to come...
