Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls)

We stopped by the Qumran area where two men found the Dead Sea Scrolls several years ago. It was a good experience learning the life of the scroll writers (sectarians). They go way back in the 800 BC and have copied scrolls for years! Sectarians who devote to writing scrolls must give up his money and give it to the group, have no contact with outsiders, and while eating with fellow sectarians, he must not talk and they are baptized twice a day to purify themselves. (There are no women in Qumran during their time). Check out the pictures..
